Like many founders, I started something bold and personal—not during a moment of clarity, but in the middle of one of the hardest seasons of my life.

In 2021, I lost my mom. She was my grounding force—the one who modeled kindness, accountability, joy, and resilience in ways that didn’t need a platform or a title. When she died, something in me shifted. That’s the kind of loss that stops you. That cracks open everything.

By my 50s, I had built a successful career. I was a high performer, a trusted partner, a builder. I had delivered results across industries—from small firms to large global organizations, and even alongside some of the brightest minds at Harvard. And yet—I was deeply unfulfilled. I had been building for everyone but me.

I thought back to one of my earliest roles. The founder once told me, “You should start your own company someday,” and handed me a business planning book filled with her notes and belief in me. I was in my 20s. I smiled, thanked her, and thought, That’s not me.

It took three decades, a mountain of experience, and a wave of grief to realize: It actually was me.

I spent some down time watching sunsets in Arizona. I got quiet. And somewhere in that stillness, a voice came up: It’s time to build your own. But this time, on your terms. That was the beginning of HALO Growth Partners.

From that transformation, a bigger vision emerged—one that went beyond just launching a business. Realizing there are better, more intentional ways to scale—a way rooted in vision, clarity and execution.

That’s what led me to launch HALO Growth Partners—a firm built to support bold, purpose-driven leaders with strategy, leadership, and talent across all stages of business growth. I built this firm to share what I’ve learned, what I’ve lived, and what I believe about growth, structure, and doing big things without losing yourself along the way.
